
Senior congress leaders, during the extended congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Patna, accused the ruling nda of widespread electoral malpractice and institutional subversion.
The party launched a campaign called “Vote Chori Abhiyan” against alleged vote theft.
Rahul Gandhi’s “Bomb” Remarks
Congress General Secretary jairam ramesh quoted rahul Gandhi: in the next month, “mini-hydrogen bomb, hydrogen bomb, plutonium bomb and other bombs will be dropped at different places.”
Ramesh described Karnataka’s Mahadevapura and Aland revelations as just the beginning of a series of disclosures.
Focus on bihar & Vote Chori
Kanhaiya Kumar noted that the meeting’s central focus was on vote theft and the bihar elections.
Congress emphasized that the bihar elections are crucial for people to free themselves from nda misrule.
From 15 september to 15 October, congress plans to collect 5 crore signatures against vote theft, to be submitted to the election Commission.
Ramesh alleged the election commission is biased, acting as a puppet of narendra modi and amit Shah.
CWC Resolution Highlights
Accused the BJP-RSS of undermining democratic institutions, including the election commission, investigative agencies, and Parliament.
Criticized government policies for favoring cronies while ignoring farmers, workers, and the middle class.
Declared that a government built on stolen mandates and rigged voter lists lacks moral and political legitimacy.
Linked vote theft to attacks on the Constitution, economy, social justice, and national security.
Concerns over the bihar Electoral Roll
CWC raised an alarm over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, claiming it would disenfranchise poor, workers, backward classes, and minorities.
Warned that losing votes could also deny people access to ration, housing, water, pensions, healthcare, and dignity.
Reaffirmation of congress Mission
Hailed rahul Gandhi’s “Voter Adhikar Yatra” as a fight for marginalized citizens.
Committed to reclaiming the Republic, restoring the Constitution, and ensuring justice, dignity, and equality.
