DMK senior leader TKS Elangovan questioned the need for a cbi probe in a single-state incident.
He blamed Vijay's delayed arrival (around 7:30 p.m.) for the tragedy, saying the crowd waited too long in harsh conditions.
Elangovan insisted that Vijay must answer in court for his role in the incident.
