Ahead of the 2025 bihar Assembly elections, the Grand Alliance held a press conference announcing Tejashwi Yadav as their Chief Ministerial candidate.

BJP leader and Union minister Ravi shankar Prasad questioned the credibility of the alliance due to this absence.
Ravi Shankar Prasad’s Criticism of the Grand Alliance
Prasad taunted the alliance, asking, "What kind of alliance is this?" since they are contesting 255 seats despite having only 243 seats in the coalition.
He pointed out that nitish kumar left the alliance, citing corruption issues.
He accused the alliance of deep-rooted corruption, citing Lalu Prasad Yadav's conviction in the fodder scam.
Allegations Against Tejashwi Yadav and the RJD
Ravi shankar Prasad made serious allegations against Tejashwi Yadav and his family:
Lalu prasad Yadav faces charges in multiple scams besides the fodder scam.
Lalu has been sentenced to 32.5 years in prison.
Tejashwi Yadav is charged under Section 420 of the IPC (cheating).
He criticized the alliance's promises to provide jobs and accused them of corrupt practices in states like himachal pradesh and Telangana.
Concerns Over Employment Promises
Tejashwi Yadav announced government jobs for every household in Bihar.
Ravi shankar Prasad questioned the feasibility of this promise:
Bihar has around 26 million families.
Prasad asked where the funds would come from to pay these employees' salaries.

The BJP-led nda aims to expose the corruption within the RJD and its allies.
Ravi shankar Prasad dismissed Tejashwi’s announcements as "empty words" without any substance.
