Harshita, an agricultural scientist working in the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Deoghar, said that black wheat is being cultivated for the first time in Jharkhand. Its cultivation is very famous in Bihar, many people have started doing it. Its flour is very rich in fiber which is beneficial for our health.
She told that black wheat is very important for our diet. We are putting it here on a trial basis, we will do this for two years. If there are good results then we will ask the farmers to grow it.
Anand Tiwari, director of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Deoghar said that black wheat is a new variety for jharkhand and it is very important here. Black wheat bread is very beneficial for diabetic patients. It is also beneficial for the farmer and we are testing it right now. Its crop is looking good. Hope the results will be good too.
