Every year World Bicycle Day is celebrated on the third day of june to promote the use of bicycles for transportation, recreation, and environmental protection. The WHO has said that providing bicycles to the world's poorest individuals and communities could prevent 1.5 million premature deaths each year. Also, 5 billion pounds of greenhouse gas emissions can also be stopped. On this day we celebrate how the bicycle has changed our lives. It is not just an economical and healthy way of living, but it is also a refuge in the era of the problem of global warming.


What is World Bicycle Day?

World Bicycle Day is a day to celebrate bicycles and promote bike safety. World Bicycle Day has been celebrated since 1988 when it was started by the international League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP). ILCP wanted to celebrate a day to raise awareness about the importance of cycling and the need for better cycling infrastructure around the world. Today World Bicycle Day is celebrated in more than 80 countries, which includes bike rides, education-related programs, and many art installations.
