Boney Kapoor's delay in informing the cops has raised suspicions on the sudden death of veteran actress Sridevi. Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, and their younger daughter Kushi Kapoor had been to Dubai to attend the wedding of Mohit Marwa.
Though boney and Kushi had left to Mumbai after the wedding, boney decided to surprise Sridevi, and came to Dubai again, and met her by 5:30, and left. Reportedly, Sridevi had begun preparations to start out for dinner by 5:45, and for almost 15 mins didn't open the door, following which it was found that Sridevi was dead. Boney Kapoor had immediately called his friend.

By 6 pm reportedly, and they were with Sridevi 's corpse as reported by Khaleej Times. However, Boney Kapoor had called the Police only by 9 pm, 3 hours after her death, and this delayed information to police has ultimately increased suspicions on Sridevi 's unexpected, sudden death. In this case, Sri Devi's close family friend Amar Singh has confirmed the Police that Sri Devi is not addicted to Alcohol and she just drinks Wine alone. This has added more twist to the tale.
