Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh-2 was supposed to begin right after Attarintiki Daredi release. Pawan Kalyan's back pain, issues with the film script and the actor's political commitments delayed the film about an year. At a point of time, there were rumours that the movie may be shelved but the makers cleared the doubts by doing the opening ceremony of the film.
The opening ceremony took place few months ago and Pawan Kalyan joined the shooting of other film, Gopala Gopala before the start of this film. We tried to dig in to the problems with Gabbar Singh-2 and found out the reasons. It is the script problems that are hampering the project. Pawan Kalyan was not at all satisfied with the script provided by Sampath Nandi.
It is said that Alias Janaki director Daya had provided a script for Gabbar Singh-2 and it is said that Pawan Kalyan liked the script more than Sampath Nandi's script. They are currently fine tuning it and Sampath Nandi may direct this script. Sources in Pawan Kalyan's circle says that Gabbar Singh-2 will go on floors in August last week or early September after Pawan Kalyan completes Gopala Gopala.
Earlier, Pawan Kalyan wanted to produce the movie himself but now he has entrusted the job to his friend Sharath Marar (on North Star Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. Banner) but the actor's production house, Pawan Kalyan Creative Works, will be presenting it. Jaynan Vincent will be cranking the camera. Devi Sri Prasad will score the music.
