After persistent delays from march 2021, Siva Karthikeyan's doctor has been confirmed for a direct OTT medium release and the famous OTT platform medium @LetsOTT confirmed that it will be premiering directly on Disney plus Hotstar in tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and malayalam languages. Initially, march 26th was scheduled as a theatrical release date and unfortunately, the team pushed the release due to assembly elections in the state of tamil Nadu.


Ironically, COVID's second wave came after the elections and the release couldn't happen as planned and now the makers have decided to go for the OTT medium release as a whopping amount has been paid to the producers. KJR Studios who are desperate to make the movie a theatrical release has finally given up as chances of reopening theaters seem impossible at this moment.


Producers of 'Doctor' movie, KJR Studios have already made a contract with Disney plus streaming and now they have handover the entire movie rights to them.
