While studying at JNU in 1970, he also had the experience of working in the cartoon industry. He made his bollywood debut in the year 2003 with the film 'Ek Alak Mausam'. The film featured Nandita Das, Anupam Kher, and renuka shahane in lead roles. Famous malayalam actor Gopi also played a guest role in the film.The death of director KP Sashi, who gave many unforgettable films, has left the malayalam film industry in mourning.
