Indians, and telugu speakers in particular, have a unique manner of seeing big-hero movies in theatres. In telugu states, we witness exuberant celebrations inside movie theatres. However, what's worrying about this is how the telugu community is causing unneeded hungama in the United States. Prior to a movie's premiere, telugu fans frequently engage in raucous celebrating activities in the USA. There are protests, parties inside and outside of theatres, and confetti-filled events. A theatre management recently terminated the performance of Veera simha Reddy due to the unreasonable commotion caused by the audience.

It has reached the point where these overzealous telugu supporters risk inciting a racial assault. In the USA, there is already a pervasive racist narrative against Indians. Native Americans believe that indians are stealing their jobs and money by relying on US-based corporations. And it goes without saying that the USA today has a strong gun culture, with horrifying gun crimes being publicised nearly daily. The position is precarious due to the racist narrative and approaching inflation.

The last thing telugu people need to be doing right now is throwing extravagant parties in honour of big-budget movies that would only attract unwanted attention and annoy Americans. It is important to recognise that this is unfamiliar to Americans, and that many of them will become alarmed since they have never seen anything like it. It would be disastrous for the entire indian community if these extravagant celebrations lead to a racial gun attack at a movie theatre in the USA. We hope that something like this never occurs, but if it does, telugu people's cinema culture in the US will drastically decline. In the event of an attack, there may also be much more serious repercussions.
