Recently, tamil actor vijay sethupathi was referred to as a "Pan-India" actor. He will soon be seen in raj and DK's hindi web series Farzi. He disliked being referred to by the same tag, though.

During his most recent interview with Galatta Plus, Sethupathi responded to the remark that he was a pan-Indian actor by saying, "No sir, I am an actor." "That generalised remark about india makes me uncomfortable. That can also create pressure occasionally. There is no need to categorise myself because I am merely an actor "He went on. Many South indian stars have already stated that they do not like the term "pan-India," including dulquer salmaan and Prabhas.

In a previous interview with PTI, Dulquer had stated: "I hate the word "pan-India" so much. Just hearing it annoys me. I think it's wonderful that there is such a talent exchange in film, but we are all citizens of the same nation. I don't believe anyone uses the phrase pan-America. Despite how nicely they explain things, I don't understand."
