Nandita Das taunted the celebs who reached Cannes, saying - this is a festival of films, not of clothes

Nandita has been to Cannes five times before, but every time she used go to this festival because of the screening of one of her films. Nandita Das recently took a dig at the celebs by sharing some of her old pictures from the festival on Facebook. She writes, 'Sadly, there is a shortage of ears this year. Sometimes people forget that this is not a festival of clothes but of films. Seeing this post of Nandita went viral on all social media platforms. netizens are appreciating this post of Nandita. Everyone believes that the actress and producer have spoken the right thing. Commenting on this, a social media user wrote, 'She is not criticizing the festival, she is criticizing us and the media. She is saying that we should care about our films going there and not the fashion of the celebrities we get there.

Nandita has shared several pictures of herself from Cannes over the years, which has started a buzz about her presence there. Nandita wrote, 'Given that I can't show you the amazing movies I saw or the conversations I had or take you back in time when Manto premiered. I have missed my presence in Cannes during the last few years.

Nandita Das went to Cannes in 2005, 2013, and 2016-2018. Several indian celebs attended Cannes this year, from aishwarya Rai and sonam kapoor to sara ali khan and anushka Sharma. However, almost all of them were there because of one or the other brand association. The only indian film to be screened at the festival this year is Anurag Kashyap's "Kennedy", for which the filmmaker has flown down to France.
