The tv industry is mourning the demise of CID fame Dinesh Phadnis, who played the character of Freddy in
the show. The actor was admitted to Tunga Hospital in Malad after several health problems. After battling
between life and death for several days, Dinesh breathed his last at 12.08 pm.

Actor Hrishikesh Pandey, who played the role of Inspector Sachin in CID, has expressed grief over the demise
of Dinesh Phadnis. The actor said- I have come here for his last rites. This was quite shocking for all of us. He
was not suffering from a heart attack, as the media had reported. He had a heart attack', he had many heart
related problems when we were shooting. His demise is very unfortunate and disturbing.
We lost a family member...
Sharing memories of CID days, Hrishikesh posted a video on instagram and wrote, Can't believe that a family
member is lost.... Hrishikesh further said, 'He was a lovely person. Among all of us, he was always funny and
entertaining. It feels as if we have lost a family member. Talking about Dinesh's family members, Hrishikesh
said, He is survived by his wife. His parents had died long ago. Apart from this, he had adopted a girl child
from his relatives. So he has a wife and a daughter. May god give them the strength to deal with this.

On Dinesh Phadnis demise, Ansha Syed, who was seen as Sub-Inspector Purvi from 2011-2018, said, There
are a lot of memories. We have worked together for many years. He has been a very important part of our
family, we will always miss him.
