On a ₹20 crore budget, 12th Fail made over Rs 69 crore globally after opening to critical praise and became a sleeper blockbuster on october 27, 2023. It received five accolades at the 69th Filmfare accolades, including Best Director, Best Actor (Critics), and Best Film (Massey).
