In a conversation with Zoom, the actor offered insight into his personal life, emotional process as an artist, and how he navigates solitude amid intense roles.
While many actors dive deep into method acting and periods of isolation for challenging roles, abhishek admits he takes a different approach. “I have never felt lost or the need to get away from everything. I am a people person,” he shared. “I have my moments when I need my solitude. It is very important and essential for an actor. But not for a longer time. I need someone to talk to.”
Life in the Bachchan Household
The 'Dasvi' actor lives with a legendary ensemble, his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, father Amitabh Bachchan, mother Jaya Bachchan, and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, making for one of Bollywood’s most iconic families. Shedding light on life at home, abhishek quipped, “It’s funny. My household is very funny, and we are all actors. We all like to hang out together, and then suddenly everyone just goes back to their own spaces.”
He further added, “That comes naturally because for actors it is important to spend time with yourself and get to know yourself. Self-discovery is something that we rarely do. It’s essential, but I would never want to be a loner.”

Having made his debut in 2000 with 'Refugee' opposite Kareena Kapoor, abhishek has continually evolved as an actor, exploring a range of genres and characters. With 'Kaalidhar Laapata', a gripping psychological thriller, he adds another intense role to his diverse filmography.
