Since the creation of telangana, there has been a notable increase in employment prospects in the former district of Warangal. With an astounding investment of Rs. 5,960 crore, 1,825 large industrial units have been built in the district as a result of the telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System (TS-iPASS).
P Pravinya, the warangal district collector, emphasized the advantages of this industrial expansion while pointing out that 709 businesses had been given authorization under TS-iPASS. With the employment of 18,366 people as a result of this amazing achievement, numerous families have prospered.


In order to revolutionise the textile and apparel sector, the State government established Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal. It provides cutting-edge production facilities and integrated shared infrastructure. The Kakatiya Mega Textile Park is being built and implemented gradually across an area of 1190 acres. The Kakatiya Mega Textile Park represents an important turning point in the economic development of the area and reaffirms the government's dedication to fostering favourable conditions for the expansion of the textile and apparel sector. By the time it is completely functioning, it will probably have produced 100,000 employment. Notably, the forthcoming Kitex industry, with a substantial investment of Rs 1,000 crore, expects to produce 10,000 job possibilities, further improving the district's economic prospects.

The cornerstone for Kitex Garments' Rs 1,600 crore manufacturing plant in the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in warangal was laid by industries and IT minister KT Rama Rao in May 2022. Additionally, he opened two Ganesh Group facilities that cost Rs. 550 crore to build. About 16,000 individuals will be employed by these three businesses.

19 industrial entities received subsidies totaling Rs 48 lakh under the telangana Industrial Development and Entrepreneur Advancement (TIDEA) programme. Additionally, 308 sc units would receive Rs. 9 crore in subsidies, while 751 st units will receive Rs. 20 crore via the telangana Programme for Rapid Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurship (TPRIDE).

Pravinya further revealed the allocation of Rs 38 lakh to support 10 handicapped people in the business and service sectors. collector Pravinya praised the district's achievement in luring businesses, attributing it to the steadfast assistance given by the telangana government, led by the charismatic chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and industries minister KT Rama Rao.

Warangal district has demonstrated its dedication to the welfare of its citizens in addition to the success of its industry. 3,000 handloom workers have been enrolled under the "Netanna ku Cheyutha" Scheme, insuring their welfare. A deposit of Rs 3.40 crore has been set aside for this purpose, and a mechanism of financial assistance has been set up to give weavers' families Rs 5 lakhs apiece in case of unforeseen events. Currently, the district's "Netanna ku Bhima" initiative has 1,400 enrolled participants.
