The Congress Leader Dasoju Sravan Kumar has filed a writ petition and the High Court Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar has passed an interim order on Thursday directing the Telangana State Government to restore Government Orders (GO’s) website within three weeks of time.
The Congress Leader Dasoju Sravan Kumar has filed a petition challenging the Telangana State Government’s decision on immediate closure of government website which has barred all the confidential Government Orders from the public domain.
The petitioner Dasoju Sravan Kumar’s counsel has told the High Court that right from February onwards the Government order website has been kept closed and the shutdown is the violation is against Section 4 which comes under RTI Act.
In a reply to the query which is made, the government has made information to the court that the website is down and presently repairs are undergone and the work will be completed in another three weeks time. The next hearing of the case will be on April 28th.
