Digvijaya Singh's appointment as the in-charge of Congress affairs in the state is said to lead to an interesting turn to smooth out  relations  with  the Jagan group . The prospects of a hung assembly and coalition government in Andhra Pradesh has driven the Delhi thinkers to finally bring in some one to work out a deal with Jagan  before or after  2014 polls.

It is significant considering Digvijay Singhs proximity to the family of YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Diggy family  shared  pleasant  times with YSR family often at Bangalore and vice versa at Bhopal. When Diggy Raja was CM of MP, he gave some hydel projects in his state to Jagan companies. Singh is also on good terms with Kiran Kumar Reddy. Analysts say he is the best bet for the role of go-between to forge an alliance between Congress and YSRCP in the climax days of  2014

‘  Digvijaya Singh is  best suited  person to talk to Jagan Reddy and YS Vijayalakshmi in case the need arises’ , said a minister in the Kiran Reddy cabinet. A team of four AICC functionaries would assist  Diggy in his task in AP .

While Kiran Reddy was quick to welcome Singh's appointment, the news lifted the spirits even in YSR Congress on Sunday as the party leaders took this as a good sign while expecting their chief Jagan Reddy to come out from Chanchalguda Jail soon
