As days are passing by the signals are becoming strong that the congress high command is keen to decimate Andhra Pradesh by breaking it into two parts. Whether it is about Sonia Gandhi honoring the commitment of December 9th statement or it is pure politics to win the 2014 elections, the future of Andhra Pradesh as a unified state looks uncertain.
But in the event of bifurcation, how will AP look like? Well, the most probable thing to happen seems to be Telangana state with Hyderabad becoming the joint capital for a period of five or ten years. The second thing being mentioned is about having the districts of Kurnool and Anantapur as part of Telangana.
More than respecting the sentiments or what the actual people want, it is looking evident that Congress’s decision will be taken solely with the target of securing a win in 2014 elections. If diving Andhra Pradesh is the means for them to victory then it is going to be a dream but in all angles the doom of Congress looks certain.
