This seems to be the doubt doing the rounds in political circles at this point of time. The fast organised by the party leader Vijayamma reportedly in support of equal justice to all regions of AP in the event of bifurcation was planned to renew and restart a new wave of support for YSRCP after the party lost hopes in Telangana region.
But the lukewarm response that the Deeksha has received reportedly pushed the party into a shock mode though in front of the media, the party leaders are putting up a brave front even as Sakshi, the family controlled media is the only channel to hype the response the fast has received.
The fast cannot be however rated as a failure but is definitely not a success given the hopes the party had on this one. Privately YSRCP leaders are admitting that this may be the reason why Jagan is taking one last chance to galvanize public sympathy and support by taking up the fast by himself from his jail premises itself.
