The Tirupati court has today given the final verdict in the Alipiri bombing incident in 2003 where an assassination attempt was made for then CM Chandra Babu Naidu.
The then and present chief minister Naidu survived an attempt on his life when suspected People's War naxalites exploded improvised claymore mines targeting his motorcade on the Tirumala ghat road. Naidu suffered fractures on his right hand and collar bone and minor injuries on the chest and nose.
The final verdict of the case has delivered by Tirupati court today.Three persons- Ramohan Reddy, Narsimha Reddy and Chandra found guilty in the Alipiri bomb attacks case. After hearing the arguments the three culprits were convicted with four years jail term and a fine of Rs.500 each by Tirupati sessions court on today
The special investigating agency interrogated total 96 witnesses and filed cases against 33 persons out of 29 are Maoists. Babu was injured in a bomb blast in his convoy when he was in his way to Tirupati to take part in Brahmotsavams on 20 October 2013.
In a surprise coincidence Chandra Babu is back to power almost after a decade and he is going to submit Pattu Vastrams to the almighty tomorrow for the annual Brahmotsvam festival.
