Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao is reportedly wooing senior women Congress MLA and former minister in United AP, J Geetha Reddy, considered among the most powerful leaders of the Congress party, into pink party.
Geetha Reddy met with Chief Minister at the Secretariat yesterday which has triggered some sudden political speculations. Even KCR shares a desire to have a strong Dalit leader in Medak district, that has more or less become dominated by Velamas in the party.
KCR is reportedly pampering Geetha Reddy by immediately consenting to her demand to observe the death anniversary of late RPI leader and Telangana stalwart and also Geetha Reddy’s mother, Eshwari Bai on February 24, officially.
KCR reportedly added that Eshwari Bai’s biography would be added into Telangana Curriculum. Eshwari Bai is a noted leader of the 1969 Telangana movement. What has to be seen is whether this gesture would be enough to pull the hardcore Congress loyalist Geetha into TRS or not.
