TMC mp Arpita Ghosh left the rajya sabha on wednesday referring to 'individual explanation'. Her abdication was acknowledged by Vice President M venkaiah naidu, a warning from the rajya sabha Secretariat said.

"Ms Arpita Ghosh, a chosen rajya sabha mp, addressing the State of West bengal, surrendered her seat and her abdication has been acknowledged by the Chairman, rajya sabha w.e.f. the fifteenth september 2021," the RS warning read. 

Ghosh's abdication, which comes days before West bengal Chief minister mamata banerjee ventures into the survey ring twice this year to hold her seat, took numerous from her own party unsuspecting. Affirming the news, party sources told that the artiste-turned-government official needs to "give more opportunity to the party and at home" which is the reason she is venturing down from her post. 

Ghosh was among those suspended during the commotion in rajya sabha in the as of late finished up parliament meeting where the two MPs and marshals were supposedly harmed.
