The DMK government had announced many important election promises in the assembly elections held last year. During the elections, the DMK announced a scheme to give Rs.1000 per month to the head of the household in tamil Nadu. This election promise of DMK received a great response among women. Among the promises made by the DMK was free bus travel for women, scholarships for female students, a reduction in petrol prices, etc.

However, the scheme of providing Rs.1000 to women has not been implemented. This project was not started due to various reasons including Corona spread and the economic crisis. Expectations are rife among people as to when the project will be launched. In this situation, the video of minister Duraimurugan saying that we have exchanged coins to give one thousand rupees to the heads of the families and will provide them soon is going viral on social media.

Water Resources minister Durai Murugan speaking at the event after laying the foundation stone of the high-level flyover to be built across the Ponnai river near Gadpadi in Vellore district at a cost of Rupees 40 crore, the tamil Nadu government is implementing various new projects for the benefit of the people of all walks of life. The regime of M.K.Stalin was a regime of charity to the people. We are doing it accordingly. We are giving Rupees.1000 to college-going girls.
