KSU calls for an education bandh tomorrow in Kerala. The KSU state committee has called for a bandh on Tuesday. The education bandh has been called to protest the police violence against the KSU secretariat march. The KSU secretariat organized the march against the communization of state universities. This resulted in conflict. The police used water cannons twice on the march.

The KSU workers tied a stick and threw a flag at the police. Stone pelting took place during the conflict. As the tension did not ease and the KSU activists turned violent, the police fired tear gas. But the workers who were not allowed to leave protested by sitting on the road. With this, the activists were removed by force. Following the conflict in the secretariat march, the leaders have been remanded. Following this, the state committee has called for a bandh. This is the first public protest by KSU after the new leadership took over.

After this, an education bandh has also been announced. The protest of KSU has raised the stagnation of the higher education sector in the state, the collapse of the education sector, collusion with governor Arif Muhammad Khan etc. The protest march was inaugurated by opposition leader VD Satheesan. KSU state leaders and policemen were injured in the clash during the march. About 10 leaders, including state leaders, have been arrested and remanded. The leaders have announced that there will be a strike in educational institutions including colleges.
