amit shah giving opportunity for discussion on Manipur issue..!?

amit shah has written to the leader of Opposition in rajya sabha Mallikarjuna Kharge and the leader of Opposition in lok sabha Adhiranjan Choudhary seeking cooperation from opposition leaders to discuss the Manipur issue in Parliament. The fourth day of the parliamentary session has been drowned in the noise of the opposition. Meanwhile, Union home minister amit shah on tuesday wrote to the leaders of the opposition parties in both Houses and requested them to cooperate in the discussion on the Manipur issue in the Parliament. Sharing the letter on social media, amit shah said, “Government is ready to discuss the issue of Manipur and wants the cooperation of all parties for this, the issue is above the party issue. I hope all parties will cooperate in resolving this important issue,' he wrote. In a separate letter to congress leaders Mallikarjuna Kharge and Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, the home minister said that Manipur is a very important border state and its rich cultural heritage is a 'gem' of culture not only of Manipur but of the whole of India.

“During the last six years of bharatiya janata party rule in Manipur, the region is experiencing a new era of peace and development. "But due to some court orders and some incidents, incidents of violence took place in Manipur in early May," the minister wrote, referring to the Manipur High Court's order recommending the government to add the powerful Metis to the Scheduled Tribe list. During the violence, some ugly incidents also came to the fore, after which the people of the entire country, the people of the North East, and especially the people of Manipur are expecting the country's parliament to stand with the people of Manipur in this difficult time beyond party politics," the letter wrote.

He wrote that the government is ready to state Manipur after a debate in both houses but "cooperation from all parties is expected. I and all members of your party extend your support to ensure the continued functioning of Parliament". However, the opposition is demanding that prime minister Narendra Modi should make a statement in parliament before discussing the Manipur issue. prime minister Modi broke his more than two-month silence on the communal clashes last week. He said that mob attacks on two women who were marching naked were unforgivable. However, the opposition criticized that he did not talk about violence. The ruckus in both Houses continues as the opposition and treasury bench members remain unyielding.

More than 150 people have been killed and hundreds injured in the Manipur violence so far and thousands have taken shelter in relief camps. But a video of two women from the Kuki-Zomi community being paraded naked and sexually assaulted by a group of thugs sparked nationwide outrage. The opposition also demanded that Manipur cm Biren Singh should resign.
