As they continue to disregard child care, telangana government ministers seem to have forgotten their commitments and agreements. On january 19, 2017, a touching picture of a little schoolgirl standing in the school assembly holding a piece of bread in her pocket—likely her only food for the day—went viral on social media.

One concerned person, moved by the image, suggested that the school day should be changed from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm so that students may learn without being under excessive stress. In his response to the now-deleted tweet, minister KT Rama Rao expressed his support for the notion that kids shouldn't be deprived of their youth and should have access to a setting that promotes learning without putting them under too much stress.
The message inspired hope that the government will intervene and change school schedules to lessen the difficulties encountered by kids. But more than five years have passed since that tweet, and little has changed in this area.

A parent claims that while accepting the suggestion and admitting the need for change, no real action has been made to give the kids respite. He asserted that minister KT Rama Rao and all other government ministers must understand that youth is a transitory stage, and that immediate action is required to alleviate the difficulties experienced by young students. It would be a disservice to the kids and a betrayal of the commitment to their welfare and education if the suggested improvements weren't put into practise over such a protracted period of time.
