Chandrayaan-3 mission is collecting different information from the moon. Its Pragyan Rover is continuously

moving on the surface of the moon. isro has given another big update related to this. isro told in a post on

the social media platform X on thursday (August 31) that along with the activities of the rover and other

payloads, something else has also been recorded.

isro wrote in the post, "The instrument for Lunar Seismic Activity (ILSA) payload on the lander of

Chandrayaan-3 mission has recorded the movements of the rover and other payloads. In addition, it has

recorded a natural phenomenon on 26 august 2023." recorded."

Investigation into the source of the incident continues

The space agency further said, "The source of the incident is being investigated. The ILSA payload has been

designed by LEOS, Bangalore." isro has also shared a graph related to the activities of the rover.

Confirmed the presence of sulfur

Earlier in the day, the indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) had reported that another instrument aboard

Pragyan has also confirmed the presence of sulfur in the lunar region using a different technique. In a social

media post, the space agency said that the instrument named Alpha Particle X-ray Spectroscope (APXS) has

detected sulfur as well as other small elements on the Moon.

Rover’s video was also shared

isro said, "These findings by Chandrayaan-3 compel scientists to develop new explanations for the source(s)

of sulfur(s) in the region - internal?, volcanic?, meteoritic?." isro had also shared a video of the rover roaming

in search of a safe path. This video was made by the Lander Imager camera.
