An FIR has been filed against a man suspected of molesting a female passenger on an indigo aircraft between mumbai and guwahati, according to a representative for the airline. The culprit was turned over to assam Police when the jet arrived in guwahati as a result of a complaint for suspected sexual harassment submitted by the victim, the spokesman claims. The incident allegedly took place on board flight 6E 5319 on september 10th.

The spokeswoman said, "The complainant has filed a FIR with the local police, and we will assist in their investigation, where necessary." There have been at least four instances of sexual harassment aboard airplanes in the past two months. The most recent incident happened on august 16 and involved an alleged incidence of sexual harassment aboard a SpiceJet aircraft between delhi and Mumbai. A video of the event quickly went viral on social media.

The delhi Police and the DGCA were also given notifications over the event by swati Maliwal, the chairwoman of the delhi Commission for Women. The alleged passenger may be seen on camera attempting to take lewd photos of both his female companion and a female flight attendant. There have been at least four instances of sexual harassment aboard airplanes in the past two months.
