In this situation, chief minister Stalin has said that he will directly engage in the field survey regarding road maintenance. A consultation meeting regarding North east Monsoon precautionary measures was held today under the chairmanship of chief minister Stalin at the Chief Secretariat, Chennai. Speaking then, he gave various instructions to the officials to deal with the northeast monsoon.
Speaking further, chief minister Stalin said that he has been receiving complaints about the condition of roads in various areas including chennai and suburbs. Similarly, in various districts, roads have been severely affected. Due to this, motorists are facing severe difficulties and reports of minor accidents are coming in continuously. chief minister Stalin pointed out that this is not acceptable.
Also, "not only due to various works like rainwater drainage works, drinking water board works, metro rail works, power supply works, but in general the condition of the old roads is not enough maintenance, the people are facing a lot of trouble. This situation needs to be changed. The roads of our state should be constructed in such a way that the people appreciate them. I am not just saying this as advice. Ministers, government secretaries and leaders should pay serious attention to this.” He asked.
Chief minister Stalin said at that time that he will directly engage in the field survey regarding the road maintenance and plans to hold meetings regarding the progress of the work and confirm it. Stating that he will conduct an inspection in chennai this week, chief minister Stalin said, "I have decided to conduct a direct inspection in this regard in all the districts that I will be touring from now on. All the departments carrying out road works should complete the work quickly and with quality.” He also stated strongly.
