Basheer "Chacha," a well-known pakistan cricket supporter, was taken into custody for interrogation after waving the national flag of his country on wednesday as the pakistan cricket team arrived at Hyderabad's rajiv gandhi international airport (RGIA). Basheer, a septuagenarian with US citizenship, travels the world watching international games involving the Men in Green. He also traveled to the city before Pakistan's first pre-ICC cricket World Cup warm-up game as the squad was due to arrive at the rajiv gandhi international Airport.
Around eight o'clock in the evening, Basheer and other pakistan team members could be seen departing the airport grounds to the shouts of the audience. He began waving the pakistan flag as soon as the squad entered, excited to see them. When RGIA police noticed the public moving and noticed a Pakistani flag fluttering, they were concerned and arrested the man right away.

Once the misconception was clarified, Basheer Chacha participated in the questioning and identified himself as a devoted admirer of the pakistan cricket team who had traveled to india for the match. He was released after providing his travel documentation, tickets, and identification cards, a source claimed.
