It is known that GST (Goods and services Tax) has been introduced to replace the old indirect tax system. The central government initiated this change on 1st July 2017. Since then, the tax payments in the form of GST are going to a record level day by day. Due to the gradual increase in the collection of goods and services tax in the country, the government is getting a large amount of revenue. In this context, what are the latest GST collections for the month of September? The information came out.

According to the statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, there has been an increase in the government's gross GST collections for the month of september 2023. A Gross of Rs.1,62,712 crores for this month has been collected. Reports say that the gross GST collection has increased by 10 percent on an annual basis compared to the same month last year. If we look at the financial year 2023-24... this is the fourth time that the monthly GST collection has crossed 1.60 lakh crore from the month of April. The reports make it clear that the total tax collection in these six months is Rs.9,92,508 crore.

According to the statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, out of the gross GST of 1,62,712 crore rupees in the month, 29,818 crores in the form of central GST i.e. CGST, 37,657 crores in the form of state GST i.e. SGST, 83,623 crores in the form of integrated GST i.e. IGST and 11,613 crores in the form of cess.

In states with the highest GST collections Maharashtra, karnataka is at the forefront. After that tamil Nadu, and gujarat are in 3rd and 4th spots. If we look at the situation of two telugu states... telangana GST collected Rs 5,226 crore while andhra pradesh GST collected Rs 3,658 crore. After the implementation of GST in the country, the highest GST collection was recorded in the month of april 2023. Looking at this figure, it can be said that the country is running in tax collections.
