1. You must have a voter ID card or voter slip to vote.

2. Take the voter slip along with the voter ID, and any government identification card to the polling station knowing which area your vote is in.

3. As soon as you enter the polling station, the first officer will check your name and relevant details in the voter list with him. If all the details are correct here then it will be sent to the second officer.

4. The second officer will stick the ink he has on your index finger. Along with this, you will be given a slip of your name on the list.

5. From there the second officer will ask you to go to the third officer. A third officer will check your slip and if all the details are correct then send it to the EVM at the polling station.6. The EVM will have the names, photos and symbols of the candidates. There are buttons opposite them. The person or party you want to vote for should press the button opposite the symbol and cast your vote.


7. When the EVM button is pressed, the light on the button will light up. Also, there will be a beep sound. A slip with the details of the symbol you have voted for will appear for a few seconds on the adjacent VVPAT and then drop down.

8. When you go to vote, if the EVM button does not beep, the button light does not light up, or the slip of your vote is not received in the VVPAT, you should immediately inform the officer present.
