Two phases of voting in chhattisgarh assembly elections have been completed and workers of all political
parties including bjp, congress and other party candidates are eagerly waiting for the results for the
counting of votes to be held on december 3. To ensure that there is no tampering in the counting venue
before the counting, bjp and congress have put three workers each on duty in shift order outside the
counting venue, however, congress is blaming the administration regarding the security arrangements in the
strong room. And bjp members have expressed confidence, but in Bastar district also the ballot boxes have
been kept in the treasury.
In such a situation, bjp members say that there is a lot of movement of unauthorized persons here, due to
which there is a strong possibility of tampering in the ballot boxes, apart from this, some government
officials and employees suffering from prejudice in favor of congress may also make unauthorized
interference in the ballot papers. In this situation, the bjp has submitted a memorandum to the District
election Officer demanding to increase the security of these ballot boxes in the presence of security
personnel and by installing CCTV cameras.
Demand to increase security of treasury
In fact, in Jagdalpur, the bjp delegation met district election Officer Vijay Dayaram and asked about
increasing the security of the ballot boxes for voting done through ballot paper by the government
employees posted on assembly election duty and employed in essential services and storing the ballot boxes
in the strong room. Discussed and submitted a memorandum to them regarding voting, bjp said that special
arrangements were made for voting through ballot paper for voters above 80 years of age and disabled
voters, including government employees doing election duty, apart from this, It is necessary that these ballot
boxes should be stored in the strong room instead of the treasury, hence he has submitted a memorandum to
the returning officer regarding its security.
