BJP went more than five days to select cm, it was a game...

The bharatiya janata party has been unable to elect the chief minister in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and chhattisgarh in the five days since the assembly election Results 2023. Leaders of all sizes are stating the same thing: the high command will decide on everything. JP Nadda, amit shah, and narendra modi make up the high command. Nonetheless, the math involved in delaying the appointment of the chief minister has made powerful leaders' hearts race. The bjp always favored a new face over an established one when selecting the chief minister, even if it took longer than five days.

For instance, the bjp needed nine days to select the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2017. Large-name candidates like rajnath singh and Manoj Sinha were running for chief minister at the time, but Mahant yogi Adityanath, a novice, was appointed chief minister by the BJP. The bjp also prevailed in the uttarakhand elections that same year. The election of the chief minister here also took the party eight days. trivendra singh rawat was appointed chief minister by the party, and veteran figures like BS Khanduri and ramesh pokhriyal Nishank were formidable opponents.

Similar to this, the party needed seven days to choose the chief minister in himachal pradesh (2017) and maharashtra (2014). The bjp had thrown out the old face and given the new face the reins in both locations. nitin gadkari from maharashtra and Dhumal from himachal pradesh were strong candidates for chief minister. The bjp took six days to select the chief minister of haryana (2014).
