The inauguration of the newly constructed grand ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and the consecration program of Ramlala was completed at an auspicious time. Today, in the presence of prime minister Narendra Modi, as per the auspicious time, Lord ram Lalla was consecrated in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Pandit Laxmikant Mathuranath Dixit and Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid completed the Vedic process of consecration and Ramlala was established at his original place after years. On the occasion of Ramlala's consecration, distinguished guests from across the country were also present in the temple premises. During the consecration, only five people were present in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, these included prime minister Narendra Modi, UP governor Anandi Ben Patel, cm Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. PM Modi had performed Yama penance for eleven days before his death. PM Modi had reached the sanctum sanctorum of the temple with puja material in his hands. After this the PM took part in the worship and offered lotus flowers to the adorable Shri Ram. After the Pratistha was completed at the auspicious time, the PM stayed in the sanctum sanctorum of ram Lalla for about half an hour and offered prayers.
PM reached the venue on foot
Dressed in golden colored kurta, cream colored dhoti and Uttari, prime minister Modi walked inside the main gate of the newly constructed ram temple, reached the venue and entered the sanctum sanctorum. During this time, the prime minister also brought a silver umbrella wrapped in red colored cloth in his hand. In the sanctum sanctorum, Modi started the rituals amid the chanting of mantras by the pundits. He took a ‘Sankalp’ for the pran Pratistha ritual. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat also participated in the ritual. An official spokesperson said that the new idol of ram Lalla was consecrated at 12:30 in the afternoon (12-29).
