Meanwhile 89 year old Gyanmati, the senior most Jain Sadhvi are been invited to the consecration ceremony on Monday, said that there is an echo of non-violence as per Vedic culture and it is a pleasant event. The whole country is looking towards ayodhya and development is happening at a fast pace here. Gyanmati Mata, born in Tikaitnagar of neighboring district Barabanki, is currently living in Ayodhya. Throwing light on Ayodhya's association with jainism, Rabindra kirti Swami said that the first Tirthankara was Lord Rishabhdev. Both Rishabhdev ji and Lord Shri ram were from Ikshvaku dynasty. He said that according to Jain Puranas, Lord ram was born nine lakh years ago. It is mentioned in Rigveda, Yajurveda and it is written in Jain Purana that Rishabhdev was the son of Nabhi Rai. ayodhya has been considered an eternal pilgrimage for Jains since ancient times. It will never be destroyed. Whenever Treta Yuga comes, our Tirthankara will be born only in Ayodhya. ayodhya is the native land of Jains. He said that Jain sages are happy that this is a historic and golden moment in our lives. We are also feeling happy because Lord ram is also mentioned in Jain Puranas. From ayodhya itself, our Tirthankaras started spreading the message of non-violence as supreme religion in the entire country.
