Argument between AIADMK and DMK councilors as the AIADMK demanded that the statue of mgr and jayalalithaa should also be erected in the Hosur Municipal Corporation area.
An emergency meeting of councilors was held today at the Hosur Corporation Hall under the chairmanship of Mayor Sathya, Commissioner sneha and Deputy Mayor Anandaiah. As the council meeting began, members raised questions about the work to be done in their wards. Kalawathi Chandran, AIADMK member of Ward 45 of Hosur Corporation, said that officials were carrying out various works in his ward area without his knowledge.
As a result, people in the ward area were questioning him and reprimanded the officials and sat on the floor and started a dharna protest. Then the AIADMK councilors raised questions to the mayor and commissioner in support of him. A total of 82 resolutions were passed in this panel meeting. In this, a resolution was passed to erect statues of former chief minister Karunanidhi in the Hosur Municipal Corporation Thali Road Park and Thiruvalluvar in the Hosur Municipal Corporation premises.
The AIADMK councilors who raised a debate regarding this resolution demanded that steps should be taken to erect statues of former Chief Ministers mgr and jayalalitha in the Hosur Corporation area just like the statues of artistes and Thiruvalluvar. DMK councilors opposed it. This led to a heated argument between AIADMK and DMK councillors.
We are seeking permission from the mayor to put up statues of mgr and Jayalalitha. AIADMK MPs Jayaprakash, shankar and Ashoka stopped the DMK councilors saying that he should talk about this and you should not. After a long argument between the two sides, there was a lot of shouting. After that all resolutions were passed unanimously.
