Swati Maliwal Assault Case: AAP's rajya sabha MP swati Maliwal was assaulted at chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's house on May 13. Kejriwal's PA Vibhav Kumar has been detained in this case.

Swati Maliwal Assault Case: Vibhav Kumar, accused of assaulting aam aadmi party (AAP) rajya sabha MP swati Maliwal, has filed an anticipatory bail petition in Delhi's Tis Hazari Court. The hearing on this petition is going on in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Sushil Anuj Tyagi on Saturday. Vibhav Kumar's lawyers have demanded anticipatory bail for him, calling the charges against him bailable. Lawyers have also said that delhi police has called Vibhav Kumar for questioning in this case and has taken him into custody. On the other hand, the public prosecutor appearing on behalf of delhi police has told the court that swati Maliwal has filed a case against Vibhav Kumar. This is a serious case of assault on a woman MP. In this case, Vibhav Kumar has been arrested by delhi police at 4.15 pm. After giving this information by the Public Prosecutor, the court has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Vibhav Kumar. The court has said that the accused has already been arrested. Therefore the petition has become ineffective and there is no justification for hearing it. On the other hand, the delhi government minister and AAP spokesperson have targeted delhi police regarding the arrest of Vibhav Kumari.

Swati Maliwal has accused Bibhav Kumar of assault

Former chairperson of delhi Commission for women (DCW) swati Maliwal had called the delhi police Control Room on May 13 and complained about the assault. He had accused chief minister arvind kejriwal of assault by his PA Vibhav Kumar at his official residence. Vibhav FIR was registered in this case on the night of 16th May. After this, on May 17, the forensic team collected evidence from the Chief Minister's residence and recreated the scene. Late night of 17th May, Vibhav Kumar had also sent a complaint by email to delhi police to register a cross FIR against swati Maliwal.

Vibhav was brought to the police station on friday, where he was arrested after interrogation.

Arvind Kejriwal's PA Vibhav Kumar was detained by Delhi's Civil Lines police station on friday in connection with swati Maliwal's FIR. He was brought to the police station and interrogated and later arrested by delhi Police. Meanwhile, on behalf of Vibhav, his lawyers had filed a petition for anticipatory bail in Tis Hazari court, the hearing on which started at around 3 pm.

Vibhav's lawyers gave this information to the court

Advocate N appearing on behalf of Vibhav. Hariharan told the court that his client has been kept in the police station since 12 noon. The police brought him to the police station with the intention of recording his statement on the counter complaint given by him. There is a possibility of his arrest. A case has been registered against Vibhav under sections other than IPC 308. There is no section in these in which there is a possibility of punishment of more than 7 years. After the hearing, the court reserved its decision regarding anticipatory bail. After this, the Public Prosecutor informed the court about Vibhav's arrest. On receiving this information, the court rejected the petition, calling it ineffective.
