All eyes are on the supreme court regarding the Waqf law passed by the Parliament. On thursday (April 17), the hearing on it took place for the second consecutive day. maharashtra deputy cm Ajit Pawar's reaction has come to the fore on this. The court has given the government seven days to respond.

The supreme Court's order is not anyone's defeat or victory - Ajit Pawar

On this, ajit pawar said in his social media post that this order is not a victory or defeat of one party or the other, but it is an important step towards following the limits and provisions of the indian Constitution.

Both parties have the opportunity to present their case strongly in the court - Deputy CM

ajit pawar said, "The seven-day stay granted by the supreme court provides an opportunity to both the central government and the Waqf Board to present their case strongly in the court. This stay is a part of the judicial process, and not a symbol of support or opposition to any party."

It is not appropriate to comment before the final decision - Ajit Pawar

The deputy cm further said, "Whatever provisions are there in the Constitution, they should be followed, this is the intention of the supreme Court. Until the court hears the arguments of both the parties and gives the final decision, it would not be appropriate to make any comment on this subject."

What happened in the supreme Court?

In the hearing, the central government assured the supreme court that Waqf by Deed and Waqf by User will not be de-notified till the next hearing. The court ordered that the property of any Waqf whose registration has been done under 1995 cannot be touched. Along with this, the court said that there should be no appointment in the Central Waqf Council and Board till the next hearing.
