Senior congress leader and 5-time mla jai Kishan passes away!

Senior congress leader and 5-time mla jai Kishan passed away late night on wednesday (April 16). He breathed his last at his home in Sultanpuri. It is being told that jai Kishan had a heart attack at around 12.30 in the night. After this, his family took him to the hospital, where the doctors declared the congress leader dead.

Who is congress leader jai Kishan?

Jaikishan has been a big Dalit face of congress in Delhi. From 1993 to 2025, he continuously contested the mla election from Sultanpur Majra seat of Delhi. In the delhi assembly elections of 1993, 2003, 2008 and 2013, jai Kishan won the election from Sultanpur Majra on a congress ticket. He has been a congress mla on this seat 4 times.

In the middle of the assembly elections of 1998, Jaikishan made his wife Sushila Devi contest in his place for some reason and succeeded in making his wife win the election. That is, it can be said that Jaikishan was successful in winning the Sultanpur Majra seat of delhi for 5 consecutive times.

During this time, Jaikishan worked on many other important posts related to the party besides the post of Secretary in AICC. Jaikishan was considered one of the top leaders of Congress.

Devendra Yadav paid tribute

On the death of congress leader Jaikishan, delhi Pradesh congress Committee President Devendra Yadav wrote on Session media Platform X, 'The news of the death of Jaikishan, five-time mla from Sultanpuri, former AICC Secretary, senior member of the congress family is extremely sad. May god give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.' According to the information given by the congress, jai Kishan's last rites were performed at 1.00 pm on thursday at the crematorium located in Y Block of Mangolpuri.
