gujarat congress President Shaktisinh Gohil has attacked the bjp government at the center. He accused the government of targeting the media which dares to speak the truth against the government. He criticized the recent Income Tax (IT) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) action on gujarat Samachar and its associated organizations through a post on X.

Gohil wrote, "The duty of the media is to fight for the truth. The bjp government keeps punishing the media that fulfills such duty. gujarat Samachar newspaper has always stood against the government, no matter who is in power."

Shaktisinh Gohil raised questions on the policies of the Central Government

He alleged that after the reporting on the recent dispute and ceasefire between india and Pakistan, which questioned the policies of prime minister Narendra Modi and the central government, the central government used 'its favorite tool kit' i.e. ED and IT. According to Gohil, raids were conducted on gujarat Samachar, a private channel and other related business entities and gujarat Samachar owner Bahubalibhai Shah was arrested. He also said that Shah is a senior citizen and is suffering from health problems.

Gohil expressed grief and said that this action was taken at a time when a member of Shah's family - Smriti Ben - had recently died and the entire family was in mourning. Gohil wrote, "I strongly condemn this excess, the media which is doing its work is being targeted across the country. The bjp government should understand that not every media is ready to sell its soul." In the end, Gohil expressed solidarity with gujarat Samachar and all those journalists and institutions who have the courage to speak the truth to power. He concluded his message with the slogan 'Jai Hind'.
