Many houses turned into rubble
A cloudburst suddenly caused a huge flood in the Ghati and Janglot villages of Kathua. Many houses were turned into rubble due to the flood. Water entered people's homes and the railway track, national highway and even the Kathua police station have been badly affected.
Officials said that a cloudburst also occurred in Jod Ghati village of Rajbagh area, due to which the village has lost contact with the rest of the areas. At present, police and SDRF teams are present on the spot and relief and rescue work is going on.
