Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes cm yogi Over Shankaracharya Remarks and maha Kumbh Death Figures

Akhilesh Yadav’s Statement:

Samajwadi party President and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav condemned the use of derogatory language against Shankaracharya ji, calling it “verbal violence and a sin.”

He stated on 'X' that “No matter what kind of robe someone wears, their words will be exposed.”

Those who praise or support such statements are also guilty of the sin, Yadav added.

Criticism of bjp MLAs:

Yadav warned that bjp MLAs who fail to act morally will face public anger outside the Assembly.

Context of cm Yogi’s Statement:

The comments follow Uttar Pradesh chief minister yogi Adityanath’s assembly statement on february 13 regarding the maha Kumbh Mela.

CM yogi emphasized that “not everyone can use the title of Shankaracharya” and that religious decorum and the rule of law must be upheld at all events.

Allegations Against the State Government:

Yadav accused the government of hiding the true figures of maha Kumbh deaths and showing corruption in compensation distribution.

He also pointed out that many who were eligible did not receive compensation, and some cases were dropped unjustly.

Yadav questioned the moral authority of those making religious critiques while failing in governance.

Comments on Ego and Governance:

He remarked, “This is what happens when ego, not humanity, speaks. Ego transforms culture into vice, and such people lose respect in society.”

Yadav criticized the arrogance of the ruling party for humiliating society and engaging in “hate politics, even on religious matters.”

Future Political Impact:

Yadav predicted that in the next election, society will respond to such insults and misgovernance by voting the current government out.

He suggested that the new government will restore fairness and harmony, humorously adding that people can then “eat dal-baati together without any fear.”

Final Note on Shankaracharya Title:

CM yogi reiterated that religious titles like “Shankaracharya” must be used responsibly and legally, referencing controversies during the Magh mela in Prayagraj involving Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati.
