Recently, a Shocking and disgusting incident has happened during the match between Chennaiyin FC and NorthEast United FC at Chennai. A group of men who were seated before the North East women started dancing and soon their body language was evident and it was obscene.
Even a man who was sitting near the woman tried to stop him, he continued the obscene gestures. This happened at the Jawaharlal Nehru indoor stadium in Chennai. The man continued to gesture in an obscene way and the crowd just gawked in amusement rather than stopping him.
The woman even pushed him away and that provoked him to continue further. John Abraham who owns the NorthEast United Team has posted, "To the girl who was victimized by these insensitive and thoughtless people, we stand with you and you'll never feel alone as you must've felt in that moment. I will personally meet you and make sure you are ok."
Now, the Chennai police have arrested two guys who harassed NorthEast women and they were arrested under Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Harassment of Women Act. The main accused is named as Tamil Selvan and he is a Painter by profession. He was making some obscene gestures at the woman and she finally pushed him away. The another guy who was arrested is Karthik and he is an Engineering college student in Avadi. Both of them were remanded to 15 days in judicial custody.
