Ram Mandir Garbh Grih: The sanctum sanctorum is the holiest part of any temple. It is considered as the embryo or development center of the temple.

About 2 years have passed since the construction of ram temple in ayodhya started. Today the first stone of the sanctum sanctorum (Ram Mandir Garbh Grih) has been laid in the presence of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath. This historical moment has come after about five hundred years, but do you know what is the sanctum sanctorum in the temple called? The sanctum sanctorum is the most important part of the temple.

The sanctum sanctorum is the holiest part of the temple

The sanctum sanctorum is the holiest part of any temple. This is the part of Hindu and Jain temples where the idol of god is situated. In jainism this idol is called Moolnayak. The word sanctum is originally a sanskrit word. Womb refers to the uterus or uterus.

Situated in the middle of the temple, this place is small and relatively dark. It is also the innermost part of the temple. The Garbh Grih is considered to be mystical and holiest. It is considered as the embryo or development center of the temple. According to religious philosophy, it also shows the beginning of a person's life. It is also a symbol of the fact that man moves towards a new life in the dark, that is, new life is formed in the dark cell of the uterus. It is noteworthy that usually in Hindu temples only the head priest can enter inside the sanctum. However, with the changing times, traditions are also changing in many places.

The door of the sanctum is towards the east

Garbh Grih also tells the biggest truth of human life. It says that the body is only the outer shell, what is achieved when the body is released is the greatest truth. This sanctum sanctorum in Hindu temples usually opens in the east direction so that the rays of the sun can enter here. The walls of the sanctum sanctorum are simple and it has only one door on the east side. When that door is closed, complete darkness falls.

The main deity of the temple resides in the sanctum

In the sanctum sanctorum resides the deity or goddess to whom the temple is dedicated. The idols of other deities are placed outside the sanctum. The sanctum sanctorum is barely rebuilt while the temple is renovated. It usually remains in its original form except for exceptions. Sometimes some secret shlokas or mudras are also seen in the sanctum sanctorum. It is round, square or oval.

Ramlala in the sanctum

Ramlala's temple in ayodhya was damaged by foreign invaders in 1528. For about 5 centuries, people were waiting for Ramlala to be installed in the sanctum sanctorum. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath became a witness to this moment. He placed the first stone of the sanctum (Ram Mandir Garbh Grih).
