Ravi Kumar Dahiya, the indian wrestler, made indian supporters delighted by qualifying for the 57kg final. In the semifinal, the wrestler topped Kazakhstan's Nurislam Sanayev. Following Sushil Kumar, Dahiya became only the second indian wrestler to reach the olympics final. While everyone was celebrating the victory, supporters observed something that made them enraged. On the way to his historic victory, Dahiya was violently and cruelly bitten on his arm.

The event occurred in the dying seconds of the semi-final match, according to reports. ravi was seen attempting to pin Sanayev but then was bitten on the arm by the kazakhstan wrestler. While ravi was grappling with him the kazakhstan wrestler has bitten very intensely which can be absorbed from the images after the game. The footage and the image of both went viral very soon. Many celebs and famous people have come forward and voiced against this action.

Virendra Sehwag, the former india cricketer, also turned to social media to discuss the event. In the match itself, Dahiya was down 2-9 over Sanayev, but as the time ticked down, ravi got a grip of his opponent and won by 'winning by fall' with a double leg takedown. But so far no action has been taken on the other wrestler as Olympics-Wrestling- Governing body labelled Kazakh athlete's bite "unintentional".
