India made a comfortable clean sweep of new zealand in a three-match T20I series at home, providing the perfect start to the much-discussed Rohit Sharma-Rahul Dravid period in T20Is. The former reigning champions thrashed the runners-up in the t20 world cup 2021 by 73 runs, demonstrating that sides that set a score can win in T20i cricket.


In terms of scores, India's triumph over new zealand was the largest in a T20I match. Following a quickfire 50 from Martin Guptill, India's fielding and bowling were bang on as they limited the visitors to 111 in 17.2 overs, defending 184.
