India announces women's squad for overseas...

On Friday, the bcci announced the women's cricket team for the tour of England. The indian team has to play three ODIs and three T20I matches against the British. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the team, while Smriti Mandhana has been made the vice-captain. Experienced bowler Jhulan Goswami has been given a place in the team in the ODIs. The tour will begin on 10 september with the first t20 international in Durham.

Richa Ghosh has been included in the T20I squad of the indian team that missed out on the gold medal in the recently held Commonwealth Games. Yastika Bhatia has been ruled out of T20Is due to poor performance. However, she has retained her place in the ODI team. Jemimah Rodrigues has also returned to the ODI squad after being dropped from the world cup squad earlier this year.

India T20I squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (Vice-Captain), Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, pooja Vastrakar, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sneh Rana, Renuka Thakur, Meghna Singh, Radha Yadav, Sabbineni Meghna, Tania Sapna Bhatia, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Dayalan Hemlata, simran dil Bahadur, Richa Ghosh and KP Navgire.
