Lakshya Sen Reaches Quarter-Finals:


 India's Lakshya Sen advanced to the men’s singles quarter-finals of the hong kong Open Super 500 after defeating compatriot HS Prannoy in a hard-fought second-round match.


Match Summary – Lakshya vs. Prannoy:


Score: 15-21, 21-18, 21-10 in Lakshya’s favor.


Lakshya lost the first game but came back strong in the second and third games.


He capitalized on Prannoy’s errors in the decider to seal the match.


Lakshya, ranked 20th in the world, will face either Japan’s Kodai Naraoka or India’s Ayush Shetty in the quarters.

Comeback After Struggles:


This is Lakshya’s first appearance in the quarter-finals of a top BWF event in six months.


Earlier this year, he reached the semi-finals in the All england Super 1000 and the Macau Open Super 300.


Injuries and poor form had kept him from progressing in other tournaments.


Satwik-Chirag Also Advance:


The eighth-seeded indian pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty reached the men's doubles quarter-finals.


They beat Thailand’s Peerachai Sukphun and Pakkapon Teeratsakul 18-21, 21-15, 21-11 in a 63-minute match.
